Amazon Wildlife Peru offers a 6-day birding tour along the famous MANU ROAD, exploring the diverse ecosystems of the Manu region from highlands to the Andes foothills. Participants can expect to see over 350 bird species, including endemics. The Manu Biosphere Reserve is a vast wilderness in southeastern Peru, rich in flora and fauna, spanning from golden grasslands to lowland rainforests. The tour begins in the Cusco valley, we ascend to the Puna zone and descend through cloud forests to the eastern foothills. While staying at comfortable lodges along this renowned route, we will encounter flagship species such as the Lyre-tailed Nightjar, Andean Cock-of-the-rock, and various hummingbirds at feeders, all while enjoying birding trails.

  • Good Birding- binocular (you can rent with us, we have binoculars o 10×42)
  • Repellent with a minimum of 30-40% DEET
  • Camera with extra batteries, if you like taking pictures take telephoto lens of 400mm
  • Flashlight/ torch with extra batteries
